Adventures in the mall

Hi! welcome back in a new blog!

How are you? Hope you are fine!

Today I want to talk about the day that I went to a mall called “Sawgrass Mills”; it was REALLY BIG! This was one of the funniest days I had on this vacation because finally I could do shopping….so let’s start talking about this!

BLOG:

On Tuesday 30th of July I went with my friends to Sawgrass Mills where me and my friends bought a lot of things! There was a lot of beautiful shops, I wish I could have a full day to go to all the shops, but I had only three hours and I bought only the “necessary” items.

Hello! how are you? Hope you’re fine!

In today’s blog I want to tell you about my first impressions I had of America and what I’m actually seeing with my eyes after staying here for a few days.

Before I start I want to say that being here in America it’s not bad, you just need some time to get used to the normal traditions here.

Now I can officially start!

Blog:

When I was leaving from Italy to come here in America I knew that I would see something different from my place of growth, and I was right!

Here I can feel more freedom (maybe because my parents are not with me!), I can do what I want and everyone shares his ideas without being scared of the judgment of others. In Italy it’s not like this: you must think a lot before saying anything, you can go to prison if you say something wrong!

Honestly I thought I will find less opportunities to say what I’m thinking about here in America….so I’m so happy to find more expressive freedom.

Something that I don’t like is that you can’t make friends in a simple way; in Italy you can talk about everything to anyone in any moment so you can have more friends, but here in America it’s not like this, because if you don’t know someone you can’t have a discussion with him/her. The consequences are that you have to stay with the same people for a really long time, and maybe you will get bored….so in this case I absolutely prefer the Italian system!

Anyway if you need some help in any time, even if you don’t know the people around you, here in America these people will help you; this is something I really loved because in Italy it’s not obvious that anyone can help you in anytime, people can just turn their heads and walk away.

The most beautiful thing that I saw in my 7 days here in America is how clean are the roads and how clean are the closed places! In Italy I heard a lot of times that America is dirty, but it’s not true, they were lying to me! America is even cleaner than Italy! All the roads, the malls, the shops, the cafes that I saw in this few days were all clean; this is something that really made me happy. In Italy all the public toilets are dirty, ALL OF THEM, but here in America are all clean…. how is that real?!

I also loved when the water of the sea was very clean; in Italy they don’t care about the sea, they put all their rubbish into it and the water is very dirty. Not all the seas are dirty but some of them yes, I think also in America there could be dirty seas.

For today is everything, let me know if you agree or not with what I said.

Hope you’re having a great day, bye!

Day 2/3- Beautiful weekend in Miami

Blog:

Hi! How are you? Hope you’re fine!

I want talk about what I did in the last weekend, it was so great so keep reading!

Last weekend was my first weekend in Miami, where I didn’t have English lessons in the college, but I did a full-day excursion.

On Saturday 27th of July I went to Universal Studios where I went on many rides and tried some simulators! I went on the rollercoaster of “The Mummy”, which was the scariest ride I tried on this day, but at the same time it was the funniest!

After that I did the simulator of “The Simpsons” and the one of “Fast & Furious”; at the end I did the ride of “The man in black” and I watched a short film of “Shrek” in 4D. In the evening I had dinner in “Hard Rock Cafe” where I ate an awesome meal and bought a very cool T-shirt (it cost a lot, but it’s fine!).

On Sunday 28th of July I went to the South Beach in Miami where I did a lot of shopping, went to the sea and visited Midtown ; in the evening I had dinner in the “Golden Coral Pembroke” which is a restaurant with the open buffet (there were a lot of choices like pizza, burger, pasta, vegetables, turkey, chicken and a really big part of the restaurant was dedicated to cakes and sweets) and after that I came back with my friends in the college where I’m staying now.

Midtown was so cool because it was full of skyscrapers and full of cafes! I loved when that day I took a Pepsi and I walked between all those big palaces…it was a great time. In the meanwhile I visited the Midtown walls; there were a lot of beautiful prints on the walls and I could take a lot of photos!

On this day when I decided to take a bath in the sea, there were a lot of black plants that were horrible to see and horrible to touch. After a few hours those plants were more on the side so it wasn’t beautiful at all seeing those things when I was getting out of the sea. This fact shocked me a lot, because over the side the water of the sea was very clear and pure, so I was so confused!

Anyway the day was awesome and I had a great time with my friends.
